My Top 3 Priorities

  • Passing Measure B
  • Attract new revenue sources
  • Grow our reserves while maintaining a balanced budget

As a resident for over 38 years, my wife Carol of 45 years and I have lived in El Segundo with our two sons, Matthew and Zachary, plus our rescue dog, Buster. Matthew is a special needs adult currently going to school in our city. Zachary, a 2008 El Segundo High School graduate, works in town after graduating from USC in 2012.

I served 4 years in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1968. Having moved to El Segundo in 1977, I have coached little league baseball as well as assisted the Police Department in bringing our annual car show to town. I previously served for 4 years on the El Segundo Senior Citizens Housing Board, the El Segundo Residents Association Board, and the Capital Improvement Board.

My background includes management, sales, negotiation, personnel training, advertising, strategic long-term planning, and now politics. As a local businessman, I have specialized in taking over failing enterprises and bringing them to profitability, while providing stable jobs to the community.

Currently, I am a City Councilman of 4 years and seek re-election. I wish to continue to tout our Most Business Friendly City Award as well as retain and attract new revenue sources. I will also keep our city’s spending under control while investing in or infrastructures’ needs and safety. It is my goal to grow our reserves while maintaining a balanced budget.
