I serve on the non-profit Board of Directors for the Alameda County Fair, Kidango. Commissioner Fremont Human Relations Committee. I am the current chair of the Ohlone Area United Democratic Campaign and elected member of the Alameda County Democratic Party. Former Board member of Abode Services and Allied Housing.


Alameda County Fair Board 2011 to present

The Alameda County Agricultural Fair Association is a 501(c)3 private, non-profit corporation responsible for producing the annual Alameda County Fair, as well as managing the 267-acre fairgrounds property in Pleasanton. Throughout the year, Alameda County Fairgrounds hosts more 300+ commercial and private events and operates several on-site ancillary businesses including the RV Park Campground and the Off Track Betting Facility. The Association is completely self-supporting and receives no funding from tax revenue.


Kidango 2013 to present

Kidango provides early education, child development and family services in eleven cities and serve over 2,500 children in centers, family child care home education sites and in their homes. Our families represent the rich ethnic, cultural and economic diversity of the San Francisco Bay Area. We target low income families with children. Kidango has emerged as a leader creating programs and advocating in our communities for services that promote inclusion, school readiness, identifying and helping high-risk populations and promoting an increase in social, emotional and cognitive development of children. We are one of the few agencies with noted expertise in early childhood mental health, early intervention services and early childhood education.


I am an active member of the community, formerly serving as the co-chair of the Fremont 4th of July Parade and currently volunteering with S.A.V.E. (Safe Alternatives to Violent Environments).


I am a member of the League of Women Voters of Fremont, Newark and Union City and active participant in the Voter Information Book published every election as well as the “Candidate Forums” that the League produces.


Alameda County Democratic Central Committee 2000 to present

As a member of the Alameda County Democratic Party, I attend monthly meetings, participate on the Finance Committee, formerly the Outreach Committee and actively participate in the election cycle endorsement process of the ACDCC.


Oholone Area United Democratic Chair-2008-present

Oversee the United Democratic Campaign in the Tri-City area (Fremont, Union City & Newark) during the election season.
