My Top 3 Priorities

  • Our City needs to be more business friendly so that we can create good paying, full-time local jobs. Too much red tape has prevented businesses from coming to Moreno Valley, as a result, we have too many commuters and a growing traffic problem.
  • Public safety has not been a priority to the current Council. We need to increase police presence in the city by having more officers on the street and more night patrols.
  • Our growing homeless problem needs to be solved .... not just locally, but in cooperation with surrounding cities. This problem has made our parks and recreational areas UNSAFE!

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

I am a candidate for an "open seat" on the Moreno Valley City Council in this District.  The former councilman of this district is giving up the seat to run for mayor.

I am a civil engineer by profession and have been a long-time member of the Moreno Valley Planning Commission.  I moved to Moreno Valley 34 years ago, and like many of you, I chose to stay and to raise my family here.   Over the past few years it has become more and more apparent that the City has some serious problems that simply are not being addressed by our current Council.

The only way to fix the problems I saw, was to get involved.  I did just that.  I became involved in the City’s government and was appointed to the Planning Commission four years ago, and have attended Council meetings on a regular basis.

As your Councilman, I will work to fix the big problems in this City including:

  • To have our city to be more business friendly so that we can create good paying, full-time local jobs.  Too much red tape has prevented businesses from coming to Moreno Valley, as a result, we have too many commuters, and our traffic problems have grown.

  • Fiscal responsibility.   We need to keep restraint in spending.   We cannot do what many surrounding cities are doing every two years …. asking for a 1 percent sales tax increase!  Our taxes are high enough.  We need to live within our budget.

My wife and two children, and you the residents deserve the BEST in an elected official.  With my prior experience I believe I am up to the challenge.    I would appreciate your vote on November 8th.

Thank you for your consideration.

Moreno Valley Planning Commissioner
