My Top 3 Priorities

  • END SANCTUARY CITIES - I oppose unconstitutional and unlawful sanctuary cities. As Supervisor, I led the effort forcing O.C. to join the DOJ’s federal lawsuit against California allowing illegal immigrants who commit crime to remain on our streets.
  • END VETERAN HOMELESSNESS: I am determined to hold the VA accountable and provide our service men and women with the care they have earned. Our heroes deserve the ultimate respect and I will always fight in their corner.
  • FIX OUR CRIPPLED INFRASTRUCTURE: Rebuilding and maintaining local infrastructure has been a focal point during my time as Supervisor. I know how to secure permits & find funding for infrastructure projects by slashing through Washington's red tape.

Experience

Biography

I grew up in Orange County and have lived here in the 39th District my entire life. Today, I am honored to serve on the Orange County Board of Supervisors.

During my career I built a successful litigation firm with offices in Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside and Los Angeles counties to help families and small business owners, and had the honor of being elected to three terms as Councilman and Mayor of Fullerton before serving on the Orange County Board of Supervisors with multiple terms as acting Chairman.

As an outsider entering the Board of Supervisors, I used my legal background and common sense Conservative approach to move Orange County forward by investing in modern infrastructure to create jobs, revolutionizing the county’s pension system and fighting to save millions of local dollars by securing a massive federal loan towards the 405 freeway expansion project as Chairman of the Orange County Transportation Authority. I also served as Chairman of Southern California Regional Rail Authority (Metrolink) reinvigorating the rail system to increase ridership, building new stations and bringing Orange County the cleanest, most powerful locomotives in the United States.

I oppose sanctuary cities – unconstitutional and unlawful sanctuary cities. As Supervisor, I led the effort forcing Orange County to join the DOJ’s federal lawsuit against California allowing illegal immigrants who commit crimes to remain on our streets.

During such a critical time in our nation’s history the people of the 39th District need a proven fighter and winner in Washington. In Congress I’ll tackle the toughest challenges and I won’t back down. I’ll fight to reduce traffic, fix our aging infrastructure, and keep our taxes low, while keeping our streets safe.

My wife, Sharon, and I have lived for 19 years in the same home in the 39th District and have three beautiful children: Kathryn, Shane, and Amanda. I’m proud to be running to serve you in Congress.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

Serving the people of my lifetime district in Orange County as current Supervisor, former councilman, and Mayor of Fullerton has been a privilege.  I first ran for office as a small businessman with a vision to fix problems and help local families. Now more than ever our Nation needs solutions to wasteful spending and unaccountable bureaucrats.  As a Washington outsider, I’ll use common sense and local values to:

Keep Us Safe: It is my highest priority to secure our Southern border, reform our broken immigration system, fight terrorism, and destroy ISIS.

Take Care of Our Veterans: Demanding veterans receive the care and mental health services they have earned. The heroes who served our country deserve better than VA inefficiency and bureaucracy.

Boost Our Economy:  State Senator John Moorlach and Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait endorse me because they know I’ll fight government overreach to create good jobs and I’ll cut wasteful spending to balance the budget.

Strengthen Our Military:  By modernizing, growing and investing in our troops.

Solve Homelessness:  I fought to fast track the first permanent year-round shelter and I’ll continue to lead county efforts to fix the problem of homelessness.

Expand Infrastructure: Having served as chairman of Metrolink and OCTA my priority is to expand and maintain highways, railways, and ports.

Fix Our Healthcare: I’ll mend our healthcare system to provide more choices for quality healthcare at an affordable cost.

I would be honored to have your vote and represent my home community in Orange County’s 39th District.
