Born and raised in Turlock, Jonathan never stopped calling Turlock home. He moved away after graduating Turlock High and obtained a B.S. in Accounting, worked to a CPA license, found his wife Katharine, and began his career doing consulting on financial regulation compliance. When his first daughter was born, Jonathan and Katharine knew that Turlock was the only option to raise their family. Turlock’s reputation as a haven for growing families, loving and engaged community, and history of safety attracted them as it attracts thousands. He is running for council to protect Turlock’s ability to continue attracting families.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

- Focus on Families - I want to secure our future both socially and economically. We need a family focus if Turlock is going to continue to attract and retain young families. Jon has intimate knowledge of the daily challenges, concerns, and desires of today's growing families.

- Fiscal Responsibility and Competency - Jon's experience in accounting and finance, generation of budgets, and presentation of financial information uniquely positions him to be an advocate for sound fiscal policy and to communicate fiscal consequences clearly.

- Community Empowerment - Honest communication breeds trust and trust gives way to cooperation and engagement. Jon is focused on engaging the community in a two-way dialogue that empowers Turlockers to be the driving force behind innovation because when our citizens invest in our city, we all win.
