Biography

I have lived, worked and raised my family in Calabasas for the past 25 years. I love living here and my goal is to make a positive difference in our community and maintain the wonderful quality of life we all enjoy.  I have volunteered in many capacities in the past including serving as a member of the Civic Center Design Review task force to help design and build our Civic Center.  I served 14 years on the AHCCC Board and the CCA Board.  It was a privillege to serve on the Library Commission (Chair) for 6 years to help design and build our Library. I served also on the Park and Recreation Commission (Chair) for 6 years working hard to open parks for our entire City.

It has been wonderful serving as our Cities Mayor, and on City Council for almost 7 years now.  On City Council it has been a true pleasure to work on the Senior Center Task Force to help design and build our very own Senior Center. I also am honored to serve our Schools as liasion for the City Council for the past 7 years.

I look forward to working on behalf of Seniors and Students alike, as well as bringing forth efforts to better prepare our City for Natural Disasters.  I also am proud of leadership in the area of Environmental Stewardship and will continue along those lines moving forward.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

My policial philosophy is to be a good listener and carefully evaluate all matters before the City Council.  I believe in being fiscally responsible when it comes to  our budget.  Only with funds available, will our City be able to continue to provide programs and services we all so enjoy and appreciate.  My belief is you give of yourself and your time to make the place you live, work and play a better place then when you first arrived there.  That is how I was raised, you get involved, you give of yourself and give to others.  City Council is an extension of that.  Whether it is coaching over 100 youth sports teams, serving on commissions, serving Thanksgiving dinner to those in need, working as Team Captain for 5 years for Relay for Life (Raising over 75,000), Hosting the World Special Olympics (which I have worked on behalf of for over 30 years), working for Habitat for Humanity,  or continually creating and supporting an Anti Bullying Campaign in our City and Schools, I am of the belief that you always get more than you give in life.

Politically, I am of the belief that we need to be 'rational' and 'fair' giving thought before acting and doing so for the betterment of all.
