Jeremy moved to Torrance when he was 12 years old and has many wonderful memories of Co-Rec dances and Parks and Rec sports teams. He graduated from Torrance High School as a member of the National Honor Society and with awards in math and the performing arts. Jeremy went onto Whittier College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and was inducted as a member of Psi Chi, the National Honor Society for Psychology. He returned to Whittier College to earn his Master of Arts degree in Education and is currently working toward his Doctor of Education in K-12 Leadership at the University of Southern California. Jeremy performed in many City of Torrance summer musicals back when they were held at the Marsee Auditorium. The Torrance Rose Float Association chose Jeremy to represent the residents of Torrance as a float rider in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, and the Torrance Sister City Association chose Jeremy to represent our city as the 44th Adult Leader to Kashiwa, Japan. Jeremy is celebrating his 21st year as a teacher and is currently employed by the Torrance Unified School District. It is no surprise that when Jeremy and his wife, Jennifer, decided to buy their first home together that they chose Torrance. They now raise their two beautiful children who both attend school in Torrance Unified. Jeremy believes in community service and has volunteered for many of our local nonprofit organizations that serve the children of Torrance.

My Top 3 Priorities
- A safe environment for all who learn and work in our schools.
- Increasing fiscal responsibility and ensuring that our district's money is spent on the priorities expressed by the residents of Torrance, especially our parents.
- Establishing an accountability system for administrators, so ALL employees of TUSD are evaluated, not just teachers and classified staff.

Political Philosophy
Jeremy is running for school board to give a voice to those who currently feel left out of the political process. He believes that the community should be involved in defining the values that govern our schools. He wants parents to feel that their views are heard and respected. He wants to repair the damaged relationship between the district and our teachers after the recent impasse and imposed contract.
