My Top 3 Priorities

  • Success for every student. Success not only in academia but in whatever passion or pursuit a student chooses
  • Safety for every student. To achieve success, our students must fell safe and secure in their school. Safe from outside threats, bullying and intimidation.
  • Stability for our schools. My desires is to not simply invest today but to make sure that the school is on a strong foundation for many years to come so that future students will benefit from what we establish today.

I am the Senior Pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church Los Angeles and Lomita.  I have lived in Torrance for the past 10 years with my beautiful wife, Sorah who is an RTI teacher in TUSD  and my three kids who attend Torrance schools (high, middle and elementary).   We have come to love our schools and our city. For the past 8 years, I have been activiely involved at my kid's school serving as a volunteer for multiple functions such as Fitness for funds, our school carnival, coaching our 5th grade basketball team and coaching our track team for the annual track and field competition.  I have served on our school site council for 3 years and was givent the Honorary Service Award in  2015.  It has been a joy serving our school.  My biggest accomplishment has been to establish an annual golf tournament for the past 8 years. With the parntership of Audi America, we have been able to raise funds to provide resources for our teachers so that they can be effective.  It has been a blessing to see our business community partner with our school so that we can serve our children better.
