I have been a leading member of the Santa Clara County Democratic Central Committee for 24 years. During those years, I have served the party in a number of capacities, including as Parliamentarian and Communications Director for 16 years. I built the local party's communications infrastructure, including the website, email system, and volunteer database. I represent the county as a delegate to the state party and served 4 years as a member of the California Democratic Party Executive Board.

In parallel, I have been serving my community as a local leader. I served 6 years as a member and chair of the San Jose Library Commission. In 2006, I was elected to the Berryessa School Board, and have been reelected 3 times since then. This year, I am a candidate for the San Jose City Council in District 4, which covers Alviso, Beryessa, Orchard, and North San Jose.
