Filosofía política

My entire life has been centered around giving back and building community engagement, and I am running for County Central Committee to bring new voices into the decisions that get made here in Alameda County about the future of the Party.

Twenty-three years ago, I joined East Bay Stonewall Democratic Club because I saw no faces like mine on the board. In my time leading the Stonewall Club as Treasurer, Secretary, Vice-President, and President for six years, I doubled the membership and worked with the community to make our members more inclusive and more involved.

I am ready to take my advocacy and committed outreach to vulnerable communities to grow the Democratic Party here in Alameda County. As a lifelong Democrat, social worker, and former Aging & Adult Services Manager for the City of Oakland, I have been a strong voice on issues impacting elders, people of color, and LGBTQ individuals. As a Central Committee member, I will listen to your concerns and suggestions, and we will hold our elected officials accountable.

I am running to have a vote and voice in the Alameda County Central Committee.  I have the community leadership, collaborative spirit and dedication to public service.
