I have more than 40 years of experience in the healthcare industry. I know the importance of clinicians participating in conversations and decision-making that effects our daily work. I have worked as a staff nurse in medical-surgical units, operating room, and neonatal ICU. Additionally, I have experience in staff development/education, quality, and administration as chief nursing officer and chief operating officer. I currently teach nursing students at California State University San Marcos. It would be a privilege to utilize my experience and contribute to my community in supporting Palomar Health in moving to the next level of excellence.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

Healthcare is one of the most regulated and complicated industries today. It takes experience to really understand the issues that face clinicians in our daily work and providing the safest and highest quality care to patients. I had the privilege of serving as the chief nursing officer during the organization's move to the new Palomar Medical Center. I believe I would bring a unique perspective of a nurse, nurse educator, quality officer, and hospital administrator to the Board. I want to give back to the community by bringing my honesty, objectivity, and compassion to service in this position.
