My Top 3 Priorities

  • One of my top priorities if elected is to ensure the growth is beneficial (jobs, natural beauty, traffic considerations, etc.) to the community long into the future.
  • If elected, I plan to get out and meet the residents of Valley Center to gather their input on what they want in the community.
  • Growth is a balancing act between maintaining beauty of land, fiscal responsibility, and considering whether the positive changes outweigh any negative effects that result from growth.

Although I'm a relative newcomer to Valley Center, I'm not new to experiencing a small country town grow up. I bring with me fresh ideas from other places I've lived. I've had first hand experience watching a small town of just over 10,000 people expand over a 30 year period to a thriving town (and topping the lsit of most desirable places to raise a family) of over 120,000 people. That growth was not accidental. It was thought out, in detail, years in advance considering businesses to attract, recreational activities to offer, housing development locations, schools and new roads needed, infrastructure, and of course, how that would affect property taxes. I believe this experience and knowledge will be highly useful as a member of the Valley Center Planning Committee as Valley Center is on the brink of substantial growth over the next 3-5 years.

I am always open to ideas, however, you will find most of my views to be conservative.
