Dedicated to protecting our community and improving our quality of life, I am running for Coronado City Council to continue providing a “voice of reason” when our new City Council faces difficult decisions. Coronado is a great place to live and we need to continue to strengthen our community and address issues in a calm, rational manner.

My active duty military career as a Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Officer, subsequent work in homeland defense and past decade of involvement with our city government afford me the skills and problem solving abilities needed on the City Council. I am ready to serve you on our council, but most importantly, I am ready to listen to all sides and reach rational, reasonable decisions to help us keep Coronado special.

An experienced leader in crisis response, I hope to focus on maintaining community security (police, fire, and emergency planning). My degrees in architecture and mechanical engineering prepare me to effectively contribute to issues such as appropriate construction and zoning standards (RSIP), traffic mitigation planning (pedestrian, bicyclists and motorists), and infrastructure revitalization. Raised by depression era parents, I have conservative financial attitudes and will zealously protect our city resources.

I am currently the Vice Chairman of the Coronado Planning Commission, and have served on the Coronado Community Emergency Response Team Board, the Street Tree Committee, and the Coronado Cays Homeowners Association Board. I am ready to represent you on the City Council.

I look forward to hearing your issues and earning your vote.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

I firmly believe that local government succeeds when elected representatives carefully consider the facts related to an issue and make the best collective decision they can.  Agendas, crusades and preconceived notions to not allow for good people to make good decisions together.  I commit to carefully listening, researching each issue and making the decision that I believe will benefit the citizens of Coronado today and in the future.  I intend to keep Coronado "Marvelous"
