My Top 3 Priorities

  • I will be a custodian of our Community Plan including protecting our neighborhood character and promoting a more vibrant, walkable downtown.
  • I will promote Del Mar’s Climate Action Plan
  • I will use my 17 years of experience as a technology executive to add a fresh business approach to running the city.

Planning Commissioner, Del Mar Planning Commission — Appointed position (2015–current)
Vice President Customer Operations, Asteres, Inc. (2003–2007)

University of California, San Diego Bachelor of Arts, Quantitative Economics and Decision Science (1990)

I have lived in Del Mar since 1998, and have had the opportunity to learn a great deal about our coastal community. The City is facing a number of important decisions—ranging from the need to revitalize our commercial corridor to how best to manage the challenge of short term rentals.

As a former healthcare executive, I have the management, analytical, and organizational skills required to make the best decisions for Del Mar. I also listen to different perspectives, and have a collaborative approach to problem solving. These strengths will be critical in building consensus as a member of the City Council.

As a member of the Planning Commission, I’m familiar with the City’s land use ordinances and permitting process, knowledge which will be extremely helpful for a new city council member.
