Jill Galvez has worked as a local government reporter, a corporate Vice President, a regional business operations manager, an active volunteer in Northwest Chula Vista, and recently as a small business owner in Northwest Chula Vista.

All of her experiences have prepared her to serve you on the city council.

Jill and her husband, Victor Galvez, have been married and living in Northwest Chula Vista since 1992.

They raised their two adult children, Tatiana and Galileo, in the same historic Chula Vista home at the corner of Hilltop and Peppertree Road for almost 24 years.

Both Galvez children and Victor attended Hilltop High School.

Jill cares deeply about Chula Vista, and is determined to protect and enhance the quality of life in Northwest Chula Vista.

You may know her from the Chula Vista Historic Home Tours, Chula Vista Heritage Museum, Junior Theater, the Downtown Business Association, Crossroads II, Rosebank Elementary PTC, Hilltop Middle and High School Science Olympiad, Junior Achievement, or from the annual Quin Murphy Scholarship Fund event.

Jill knows how to budget and manage resources.

She was entrusted with large budgets and complex projects at both IBM and AT&T and delivered results.

As a local government watchdog, Jill has paid attention to Chula Vista’s expenses and revenues for decades.
