Mis 3 prioridades principales

  • Increase parent and community voice in the direction of our school district.
  • Keep school funds in the classroom and increase the long term fiscal responsibility.
  • Improve academic achievement of all students with special focus on closing current achievement gaps.

I am the eldest of three, born to working-class parents. They taught me the value of compassion, exploration, and perserverance. From an early age I was drawn to teaching. I enjoyed learning new things and delighted in the process of sharing those discoveries with others. After graduating high school, I decided to attend Radford University. The first day I stepped on my campus, I met the love of my life and my future wife. We didn't start a relationship until years later, but from that day until today she was a big part of my life. While at university I also competed as a track and field student-athlete. I loved the simplicity of running and the feeling you get when you push your body to its limits. As a track athlete I learned many things, but the most important was humility. No matter how fast I thought I was, there was always someone faster. On August 6, 2015 I became a father and my world changed again. My son was joined by a baby sister almost a year ago. I have the good fortune of being married to my best friend and raising two precosious red heads. I hope to give back to my community by being an honest and experienced representative on the Oceanside school board.

Filosofía política

My political philosophy as it relates to schools is that children are apolitical. My choices on the school board will be independently evaluated on the simple basis of: Is this the best decision for our students and community?
